Hurst Romans FC

Hurst Romans FC is a village youth football club,
based in St.Nicholas Hurst, Berkshire.
Formed in 2004 as a club for local children,
we offer teams at all levels from 6 to 15 years of age.
With over ten sides offering regular training and local
matches supervised by F.A. qualified Coaches for each age group,
over 100 children are taught teamwork, fun and fair play.

In 2008 the club acheived
FA Charter Standard,
which sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people.
It is a clear sign of the on-going commitment
of everyone involved in the Club's development.

Respect
programme to ensure football can be enjoyed by everyone in a safe and positive environment.

Age Groups
|
|
The teams are currently listed by the 2009/10 season ages,
and relates to the player's age on 1st September 2009.
This is the age group that they will play in until the end of August 2010,
including any summer competitions or tournaments.
At the beginning of September each team will move up a year.
So for example children in Year 1 2009/10 are eligable for the current
Under 6 squad,
which will become the 2010/11 Under 7 squad
when they move into Year 2 in September.

Annual General Meeting

The club is holding an AGM on
Saturday 17th July at 1pm (until 3pm) at Cantley Theatre, Cantley Park.
It is an opportunity to meet other teams, parents, the Committee
and the Chairman Greg Neall.
If you have any ideas or suggestions it's a great time to share them.

Respect Ambassador

Hurst Romans former club secretary and treasurer, Deborah Wyatt,

as the country's first Respect Ambassador.

Planning for the Future
|
|
We have ambitious plans for a new football pitch and clubhouse
at Stow Bridge Field in
Hinton Road. This project has been given planning approval by
Wokingham Borough Council.
