HURST ROMANS FC CHAMPIONS SECTION

Having reflected on today's tournament I wish to thank the parents, team members and my trusty No 2 Paul who having attended yesterdays Cup Final as a lifelong Chelsea fan heard his son say "that was better than yesterday Dad". It puts into perspective the difference between winning and playing and winning.

We didn't concede a goal all day, won 2 drew 3 and went into the Final as winner of the group.

An extremely close Final with extra time couldn't separate us from Woodley Saints so penalties saw us hold our nerve and take the winners podium.

My squad of 8 Tom, Ashley, Max, Harrison, Harry, Jake, Phillip and Sam did themselves, their parents and the Club proud with a spirited team performance far more important than individual ability and produced an Afternoon to remember for us all, brilliant, very well done and thank you.

Player of the Tournament as chosen by the parents went to our very own "Bob Wilson" Tom.
