Still buzzing from a fabulous effort by "The Under 13 Superstars"

New team (Tom, Max, Harrison, Jake, Phillip, Sam and Harry) first tournament, played four, won one, drew two and lost one (1-0 freak goal candidate for what happened next!)

Before the game my wishes to the new squad were simply "win, lose or draw all I ask is 100% commitment to the team" which was delivered totally. First game we draw with the eventual tournament winners Finchampstead Falcons and frankly I didn't see anyone better than us all morning.

With a bit more experience I think we will progress to the Knock-Out stages during the coming weeks as we mature and grow in confidence in subsequent Tournaments.

We narrowly missed progression to the next phase this time finishing third out of five in our section.

Finally, the parents awarded the "Player of the Tournament" to Harrison, and my able assistant (Paul Squires) and I awarded "Key Contribution Award" to Jake. Frankly this was our hardest task this Morning.

Can't wait for next Sunday where we compete at Bearwood College in the Lower Earley Predators tournament. Bring it on.
