After our last two matches where we allowed the opposition too much posession this was a game where we could ill afford to do so again.
Add to that we also needed to play as a team again.
So when we conceded early in the match it did not look good.
We levelled from AJ's corner with George rising above everyone in the box to head home.
However, as the game wore on we again seemed to be standing off our opponenets, allowing them too much space and time to play in front of us.
This allowed Spartans to go into the break 3-1 to the good, one of the goals conceded as they ran across our defence unchallenged.
After half time, we began positively, working the ball forward and stringing a few passes together.
From a free kick on the right wing, David swung in a left footer between our forwards and the 'keeper which bounced into the corner of the net.
Maybe we could build on this and comeback?
Unfortunately this was not going to happen as we continued the same as the first half.
A penalty decision was awarded and then scored and we then let in another but it could have been more.
We got too involved in arguments over referee's decisions, which our opponents also did to be fair, which is never going to win a game anyway.
Our next match will need to see us back to our old ways, playing some football and as one unit.
I could not award Man of the Match this week as there did not seeem to be one individual who stood out from the rest.
Harsh maybe, but we need to see a reaction next week.....
