To our surprise, AJ returned for this match.
It was great to see him back out there, working so hard for the team and always looking dangerous.
Kestrels have been a tough nut to crack in our two previous meetings so we wanted a little improvement this time.
From kick off, we were on our game.
The flanks need to be used to stretch the opposition and create attacks as an alternative to trying to go through the middle of teams.
As with Burghfield last week, this worked as our first goal proved.
Fozzie ran on to a through ball, I think from Oli, and curled the ball inside the far post for his fourth of the season.
A cool finish from one of our longest servants.
We continued to play the same way and again it was great to watch.
Only from a couple of corners and one that Myles went down near a post did Kestrels look threatening.
Ells began looking solid from very early on, which became the Man of the Match performance.
Charlie replaced Ben W at the break with instruction to chase and annoy the central defenders.
As the second half wore on we camped more in the opposition's half.
Though late on Myles had to make some brave moves coming out of goal and diving at the feet of on rushing forwards.
Their attacks proved to be in vain as their defenders began to push higher up the pitch Charlie found himself with only the 'keeper to beat.
However, he did so as he hit the ball hard and true for his third of the season.
This came just after Taylor and Nathan came on to help in midfield as Kestrels were starting to get through.
They did nick one goal, Ells was unable to reach before crossing the line.
No worry though, after being fouled in the box, AJ capped his return with a low penalty that rounded off another good victory.
