This would always be a close match and so it was to be. With a level 5 referee doing an excellent job, eventually our opponents became frustrated.

The first half was better from a footballing point of view and the second became scrappy, probably knowing this was an important match. The closest we came to scoring was David hitting the bar with a curling free kick and the 'keeper well beaten. We were truthfully, not collecting enough balls in the middle of the park which improved a little when Greg and Ells came on. Myles' had a commanding game in goal and was rarely troubled as the defence in front of him held firm for another clean sheet.

Man of the Match Alex B was excellent, carrying on some good work he began against Whitegrove last time out, always threatening down the right wing. We did concede a lot of corners but Crusaders did not make them count. Charlie ran non-stop from the start and nearly ran through on goal from the kick off. The longer this game went on the less likely a goal became. We remain in the driving seat with two games to play so our fate is in our own hands or at our own feet......
