Some of the lads in this squad need to start re-thinking before complaining about playing one and two touch five-a-side at training.
Today's match was proof that it does work as they all played their part in an excellent football match.
Myself and my opposite number both agreed some of the best football we had ever seen was played by both sides.
But for the Cavaliers 'keeper making some great saves to keep out Wiggie and AJ we would have been winning by half time.
The passing was great to watch and Daniel was well on top of his game, so much that Cavs found him hard to contain.
With Ben and Fozzie constantly running at the defence on the wings and sending good crosses into the box we just needed to get a touch on one.
It was becoming one of those days.....This was my thought when Ross came up for a corner, headed the ball down and towards goal from 3 yards out, only to see the 'keeper make a fantastic save low to his right.
As we neared half time, Cavs began to pressure us but we did not cave in until after the break.
We failed to clear a high ball and there was nothing Myles could do to prevent the ball dropping into the net.
Fortunately, after that we seemed to move up a gear and played the best football my team has ever played.
On came Oisin and Alex B to create some superb give and go's.
Daniel was involved in almost everything we did.
Oli made a few moves forward whilst Ells and Alex S were reliable at the back.
Man of the Match Ross was excellent throughout making some lovely moves forward and not allowing anything to get past him.
Wiggie and Taylor were getting into great positions in the box and eventually we scored from close range.
The ball was headed forward by Ross and Wiggie's back header just dropped over the line off the bar for the equaliser.
Our fighting spirit was showing now and we were attacking in waves and AJ posed a constant threat with his quick turns and non-stop work rate.
With 7 minutes left on the clock, after a bit of a scramble inside the box, the ball ran loose and Daniel scored the winner with a lovely left foot curler into the top of the net.
This was a goal worthy of winning any game and was just reward for our pressure.
Overall, a fairly even match from two teams playing football as it should be played, on the floor.
The game was also played in a good spirit and was a great advert for football and it's current Respect programme.
We are still top and deservedly so.
A win in the next match will put a little daylight between us and the teams just below.
