Under 16s - Match Report 25/10/2008
Manager: Shane Wyatt
Opponents: Whitegrove
Result: Draw 1 - 1

The oldest one in the book is "if you don't take your chances you will regret it". Today this applied to the match which during the first half made Myles redundant, such was our attacking domination. The Whitegrove 'keeper deservedly won their Man of the Match for his performance which in the end, won a point.

We began playing the best football ever seen, attacking in waves, with shot after shot raining on goal. AJ hit the target only to find the 'keeper in the way on numerous occasions. Oisin headed over, Alex shot wide, Ross had a go from distance only the ball would not go in. Daniel found a way through from a low corner, with a low shot into the far corner of the net. A cool finish which unfortunately did not open the floodgates for us. We still peppered the goal from everywhere but to no avail.

The second half began more slowly but in the same way. Our opponents slowly started to have a few of their own attacks and from a looping ball towards the goal, scored a soft goal from our point of view. Greg hit a post, Oli shot over from 8 yards out and still Man of the Match AJ could not work a way through. We have to score goals from somewhere as goal difference could count in the end.
