I felt this would be a good measure of how good we are against a side a division above us in the league. For the best part of the first half we dominated them accross the field too which was pleasing to the eye. If not for some good saves and a couple of near misses we could have easily been 3 or 4 up by the break too.

Not having the natural born forward does cost us on occasions and this proved to be one of those mornings. Charlie tried his hardest but attempted to walk the ball around the 'keeper instead of the simple chip over him. Another couple of good shots from him were turned past the post. Alex S, our latest signing put accross some good crosses and with a hard left foot shot troubled the 'keeper too. Eventually, pressure told and Oisin finished with a left foot rocket into the top right hand corner of the net to give us a deserved lead. From a breakaway though, Peppard showed some lovely touches and equalised shortly afterwards. We didn't deserve to concede but we just were not able to challenge.

After the break, Peppard got more and more possession and scored what proved to be the winner. Man of the Match went to Oli, who worked hard all through the game and could have scored. We did really well against a good footballing side and taking all positives from a game we should have taken to extra time at the end due to the number of chances Daniel, Charlie, Alex B, Oisin and Fozzie had, we should be close to the top of our division against teams not as good as this. A few little areas to work on and results will go our way.
