This is what football is all about.
Beat Hammers one week and lose to bottom team the next.
The conditions did nothing to help unless the ball stayed on the ground and it was a biting wind.
Maybe that goes a little way to explain why in the first half we never got going and allowed Reeves a 1-0 half time lead.
We created little in a very stop start half and neither side deserved the lead in truth.
Myles made a couple of excellent stops that kept the stalemate until just before half time.
The defence was fairly solid but our midfield didn't really gel until after the break.
Suddenly, after a hard truth coach talk, we began to play.
Dan, Oli and Nick began playing some neat passing football and feeding through to Charlie and Chris up front, we looked like a team that wanted to win again.
Alex and Ben constantly attacked on both flanks, turning the Reeves defenders inside out.
As we kept pushing forward, we could always get caught on the break.
I think we'd sooner take that risk than worry about letting a second in.
Man of the Match David made excellent breaks down the left, winning challenges and making great early crosses for our forwards.
Oli hit the bar, Charlie had a couple of chances,
Ben's cross was headed off the line and Chris went one on one with the 'keeper but the goal just would not come.
Eventually Chris scored, amazingly with his "wrong" left foot with a low shot that seemed to take an age to roll over the line.
We continued to push forward and seconds later Chris should have scored again.
From numerous corners we went so near to scoring again that Reeves had almost given up.
Daniel struck a fantastic left foot volley that was only just tipped over the bar.
However, from a breakaway, as Myles gathered the ball, it seemed to slip from his grasp and the Reeves striker chipped the winner.
Some debate as to whether Myles had both hands on the ball and had it kicked out of them.
Reeves also hit a post late on so it could have been worse but that's the way football goes.
