As if proof were needed that this team can play football, this was it. A team in fourth place you would have expected a tougher match but we out played Ashridge all over the pitch.

We quickly worked out who the "playmaker" of our opponents was and made it important that whoever was nearest picked him up. Apart from a late one on one with Myles he got nowhere near scoring and so we did our jobs.

At times Ashridge struggled to get the ball from us and Man of the Match Jono was a threat every time he was on the ball. He was all over the place and with his amazing pace should have scored one. He also created so much but we could not quite finish despite numerous shots on goal, many of which were on target. Ells, Charlie, Ben, Jono, Daniel, Nick and Oli all peppered the goal but it would not come.

Ross made excellent and timely tackles and also drove forward to create moves as our midfield out ran Ashridge. If we play like this every week and score then we will win more but this was probably our most entertaining performance from a ball possession and passing point of view.

We are certainly not complaining, we could not have done more. A great performance lads, give yourselves a pat on the back.
