After the 7-3 cup defeat earlier in the season, what we needed to see here was some improvement. Sure enough, we began where we left off at Burghfield last week, attacking relentlessly and causing problems by getting at the Hammers full backs as we planned.

Jono and Charlie began on the flanks, when Oisin and Greg moved the ball out they spread the play superbly and forced corners. The game was going to plan and Elliot replaced Charlie and kept up the pace. He came closest to breaking the deadlock with a low shot accross the goal, needed a touch on it really, which just missed the far post. Fozzie, Oli and Nick all had chances to score but the goal would not come.

After a goal less first half, we again began attacking but let 2 break away goals in which was hard to take. Even so, we pushed forward, backed up by David breaking out from the back, and eventually Charlie who came back on scored a great half volley from a tight angle. Man of the Match Ross made numerous vital tackles at the back when Hammers were through on goal and so we kept the score respectable. A fantastic performance from all who played, showing that we get stronger as the season progresses.
