After the performance of last week, we knew playing the second team in the division would not be easy. We discovered in this game how strong we are when vital members of the team are unavailable.

We began well with an excellent battle in the middle of the park. Oisin and Greg worked really hard to control this area and this would be the case for most of the game. Elliot and Charlie were excellent at the back, proving that we have strength in depth and can compete with the top teams. Two goals were scored in the first half and this would be the only difference between the teams.

Jono and Oli ran their socks off up front and but for Maidenhead's strong centre half might have scored. On this showing there is much more to come from this squad. I have seen nothing in this division yet to worry me and now the lads have to believe more. After a break next week we are to play the team just above us which would point to another even match. A win would guarantee a move up the table......incentive enough as we can do it.
