This was a fixture that we had down as a win. The lads all believed it, I believed it. The only reason we lost this was down to a lack of pace.

By half time such an even match could have gone either way. All we needed was another gear to move into and the three points were ours. The game was played out mostly in midfield, both sides battling well. Greg, Ben and Daniel were working extremely hard there and protected Kurt, Ross and David really well. Oli and Oisin were tireless up front with their running and pressurising the Dynamos defenders. However, it seemed our threat would come from Alex and especially Man of the Match, Fozzie, on the flanks.

Myles was solid as usual in goal and we did not deserve to concede early in the second period. We just could not find the extra gear to step up the pace. Though fresh legs did worry our opposition we could not find a way through. Special mention to Nick, who was excellent when he came on.

Hopefully, in two weeks, against the bottom team, we may field our strongest side and produce the result I know we are capable of.
