Everyone got stuck in traffic on this wet Saturday, causing a 45 minute delay in the start of our section. When we finally began, we discovered FC Bracknell were probably the best team in the group, as we lost 1-0. Next up, a very even 0-0 draw against our old friends from last season Burghfield.

Lack of concentration cost us dear against Westwood Wanderers A, as the ref blew for the end of 8 minutes as we kicked off after conceding the only goal. This would be strangely repeated later in the day. Another of our rivals from last season, Reeves Rangers were next up and Hurst were warned not to embarrass me in this one. They didn't let me down with Jono and Oisin scoring to record a deserved 2-0 victory.

Daniel was desperate to play against his "mates" Twyford Comets and I wouldn't deny him. We over ran them but were unable to turn pressure into goals and ended the group with another 0-0. Drawn to play Westwood Wanderers B in the knockout plate deja-vu occurred. After a long wait to begin this one, it seemed to be heading for penalties. But again, like in the group against Westwood's other team, we conceded just as the game ended to go out 1-0. Lack of concentration cost us in this tournament but special mention to Nick who had a good day in goal and Sam F who was "all over the place" as usual.
