Somewhat strange playing in this one, as two teams didn't show up. So we were left to play Maidenhead and Epsom, twice each to complete 4 games in the group.

For the first two games the lads didn't seem to get going. It was Ross, playing his first games in the Hurst shirt who had a bit of an off day and apologised. "Forget it" I told him, nothing to worry about. I could not fault the effort of the squad, despite losing 1-0 and 2-0 we had enough chances to get results.

For the 3rd match against Maidenhead, we suddenly found our feet. Alex and Samir grabbed a goal each, Daniel should have added a third but we never looked like losing even though we had to do some defending late on. Not much can be said about the 4-0 reverse in the last match. Epsom just seemed to over run us and the lads never recovered from an early goal.

As there was only the 3 teams in the group, we were the only one to go home early as there was no plate competition here.
