So finally, it happened. After our tremendous fightback to get a draw against Prospect, Hurst FC U14 recorded a league victory.

This was actually a worse game to watch as we had to scrap for our 3 points, rather than come back for a draw. Sam has become an excellent "all rounder". Usually employed as a striker he played well in the middle, and now alongside Ben in the centre of defence. We seem to have found something here too, as he thrived so much there was no hesitation in awarding the Man of the Match to him.

The winning goal came just before half time. Alex finished coolly, lofting the ball over the 'keepers head for the winner and Player of the week trophy. All the lads played an important time and will move on from this sometime in the future.

A hard fought win, not pretty and nail biting, but thoroughly deserved.
