This must go down as the one that got away. We played them off the park with numerous corners and goals from Philip and Sumir to lead 2-0 at half time. This was a match we could have won and the lads were warned at the break that it was not won. After the re-start we won a free kick on the edge of their area. Alex was not far off with a dipping attempt and Daniel had two lovely long shots go close. For that performance Daniel won Man of the Match.

However, Burghfield caught us on the break and came back to lead 4-2 before Alex scored our third. They scored a lucky fifth but the result could not disguise a great performance all round. Philip won the weekly trophy and was a constant thorn in Burghfield's defence, holding up the ball intelligently and winning corners and throws.

Before this result was posted on the YJ website, we were briefly above Reeves. However, our goal difference is close but we have scored a few more. Our clash with them at the end of January is looming large and we need to take our attacking form to them. See you all in 2007.
