Playing against the top side in the league was never going to be easy and so we went with a 4-5-1 formation. Defence was the word for us and for half an hour, Meadway could not score, even a penalty went wide. This was no more than we deserved as we were resolute in our efforts to keep the score down, having been beaten heavily on the 2 previous meetings.

So only 2-0 down at half time, this was becoming an excellent performance. Elliot was again up for it in goal, Harrison and George superb at the back, all midfielders were helping out and playing as a team. More concentration in the second half and there would have been less goals against but no complaints on the efforts of all the lads.

Nathan had an excellent game at left back and won Man of the Match. The weekly trophy went to Harrison. As they say, now were out of the cup we'll concentrate on the league, with Burghfield next up......a "winable" game.
