This was the game that both sides looked for when the fixtures came out. A fairly even contest livened up after Reeves went a goal up. Just before half time, Sumir hit the post and slid on the damp ground. Luckily, he stayed on the floor so as not to be off-side as Oisin followed up the rebound with his first goal for the club.

This goal seemed to lift us and after the Coach changed the 5-3-2 into a more positive 4-4-2 for the second half, we pushed forward. Within 10 minutes of the restart, man of the match Sumir pounced on a loose ball and lifted it over the 'keeper to put us ahead. We then really piled on the pressure and for a while penned Reeves in their own half. Although we had a lot more corners we failed to take advantage and let in a goal from a tight angle late on. Daniel and Alex had good long range attempts that went just wide and should have won us three points.

George had a really solid performance at the back and was rewarded with the weekly trophy.

However, we got a point, and our goal difference is not too much different from Reeves so there is every chance that even if we don't beat them in the return game and end up with another draw, we could still finish above them.
