In our second match against Meadway we had Stuart and Daniel making their debuts. Both made good starts against another strong side. We award a trophy for top efforts at training combined with a good game on Saturday which sits on the mantle-piece of the recipient for a week. Though not awarded for the first match, Daniel was the worthy owner for a week.

The Man of the Match medal went to 'keeper Elliot. Over the last couple of years he is probably the most improved player in the team. He helped keep down the scoreline and prevented a repeat of the 17-0 reverse against Meadway in last seasons Cup tie. On numerous occasions he rushed from his goal and saved bravely at the feet of on-rushing forwards and commanded his area confidently.
