The Hurst Romans Under 8's treated onlookers at Sol Joel Park to a feast of fluent attacking football. Amber was Captain for the day and she demanded goals and lots of them; the hungry Hurst team certainly delivered her wishes. A sublime first half hat trick from James and a goal from Josh sent Hurst into the break with a commanding lead. The lightning pace of the Hurst attacks was just too much for the beleaguered Wokingham and Emmbrook defence. The Hurst team boasts quality players such as Josh, James, Ollie and Henry who are each fast and confident when dribbling the ball forward. In recent weeks we have witnessed the team mature and develop into a very exciting unit. The side has always had great spirit and a never say die attitude; to this we can now add flair, pace and clinical finishing.

In the second half Hurst continued their total dominance of the game and put the icing on the cake with more goals, two from Ollie and a further goal from Player of the Day James.

Whenever the ball did occasionally go into the Hurst half of the pitch the defence made up of Alex, Thomas, Jasper and Joe swiftly cleared away any potential danger.

To their credit the Wokingham and Emmbrook team never gave up, they were just very unfortunate to face Hurst on a day when Fabio (Martin the manager) saw much of his hard work on passing, movement and finishing come to fruition.

The team now have a break for half term, their next match is against Woodley Hammers blue on November 8th.
