The U8 Hurst Romans Black and Blue teams both qualified for the quarter finals of the Prosport end of league Summer Tournament. All players played fantastically with a massive smile and never give in attitude. The U8 black lost a close quarter final. The U8 blue won their quarter final 1-0 to go through to the semi final. The coach congratulated the blue players and said it was brilliant that they got so far but not to expect another match. Semi final win to Hurst 1-0. So through to the final. The coach again said what a storming performance to get to the final but dont expect to win and they should be happy with the runners up medals. Guess what. They ignored the coach again and said yeah right, thats what you think coach ! 1-0 win. The thing is that each win from quarters to the final the Blues were the best team. The Hurst Blues had no substitutes and so all players had played the league games and knockout to get to the final. They played the other teams off the park.They were Holland and Russia rolled into one. Trophy in hands ! Well done to Hurst U8's as the blues and blacks have been mixed AROUND IN EACH TEAM all summer league and the blacks could have also won with a little bit of luck. Big smiles lots of fun and a never say never attitude. Well Done. Great U8 squad and we look forward to the autumn Hicks League.
